One of my passions is supporting “Live” music, and I am lucky enough to have an abundance of venues within an hour's drive, that caters for my eclectic choice of music. I soon found that I was taking along Leica V-Lux 1 super zoom camera. This was for a bit of fun and the photos were for my own benefit.

I will be the first to admit that I am pushing this camera to it’s limits, small CCD and maximum of only 200 iso (any faster and the images are really really noisy), no flash and hand held at 320mm range at 1/40th of a second. So because of the varied quality of some of the images I was in two minds to upload them, but for me they are a reminder of some of the great live music I’ve seen in the past two years

In 2008 I also started using a Canon 40D digital SLR fitted with various Leica manual focus R lenses, which I’m slowly coming to terms with, though as expected there is a vast difference in the image quality.
