Sunday 27th July 2008 and this is Folk by the Oak held in the fabulous grounds of Hatfield House in
Hertfordshire. This is the first time, in recent years, that a folk festival has been held here and I’m sure it won’t be the last. For a one day festival there was a very strong line up and thankfully we were also blessed with a warm sunny day. We were also pleased that one of the sponsors Carte D’Or was giving away ice cream all day! There was also plenty of beer and cider on tap, though unfortunately we had to pay for that. Still a great day was had by all, with everybody happy to sit in the sunshine having a picnic, drinking beer and listening to some very fine music. www.folkbytheoak.co.uk
